How do I know what species and color to choose?

There are about 120 different species however there about 7 different species that are commonly used. The species and color you choose depends on your tastes. An

Which rooms can a wood floor be installed in?

Solid wood versus Engineered wood flooring?
Engineered flooring is made of manufactured cross directional laminated materials usually 3 to 5 layers with a top layer veneer of hardwood, it's comes in Planks or Strips. Solid products come in Planks, Strips and Parquet styles and is milled from solid hardwood, no manufacturing or engineering processes involved. We work with only solid real hardwood.
What is the difference between square-edge and eased-edge?

Square edge has planks have sides that are square. Eased edge flooring also known as beveled or micro-beveled edge and has a slight angle top edge. Eased edge helps mask slight subfloor. Ask you

Why Color variations in hardwood flooring?
Hardwood is like any other natural wood material therefore there will be color variations from board to board in all grades and categories. The boards are like snow flakes, no two boards are a like.
Hardwood is denting
Hardwood are formed from cell structures so if enough pressure is applied, the cell wall they will collapse and denting will appear.
Can a hardwood floor be installed in a bathrooms?
It is to be expected that a bathroom floor will be exposed to standing water and extreme moisture content in the air on a regular basis. If your bathroom is a guest bathroom and the shower/tub is never used then a hardwood floor may be acceptable but careful consideration should be made before choosing.
Why is the floor lighter now under the rugs and furniture?
The reason for this is an aging process called patina, which all wood goes naturally goes through. Direct sunlight can accelerate this aging process. The only way to avoid this is to move your rugs every so often so the floor ages evenly.
Can I wax my urethane floor?
It is not recommended. Once you wax a floor, it should be maintained as a wax-finished floor. Wax may inhibit the adhesion of future application of top coating materials or make it slippery.
Can I refinish my hardwood floor?
You can but we would suggest you call us first in order to avoid costly mistakes.
